Remembrance Day, commemorating the signing of the Armistice that ended World War 1 at 11am on 11 November 1918 was again attended by over a 100 people in 2022.
Chaplain Paul Crennan delivered the opening (and closing) prayers and LVRSL Secretary Josh Weir recited the Ode.
Noel Hunt played the Last Post and the Rouse.
Students from Sacred Heart College choir provided wonderful support, singing “Spirit of the ANZC’s” and later the New Zealand (in both Māori and English); and, Australian national anthems.
The Club would like to extend thanks to Joshua Weir, Mike Wilson, Craig Spenser, Noel Hunt, Leigh Lazarus, the Sacred Heart College Choir, Paul Crennan, the Committee of the LVRSL, and all others who have helped on the day.
They willingly gave their time and expertise to ensure the service was conducted smoothly and with respect.
We sincerely thank Peter Dane for once again coordinating a very successful Remembrance Day and acting as master of ceremonies.
