The Tasmanian RSL Golf Challenge which is the major fundraising event for the Lenah Valley RSL welfare fund, was held on Sunday 5th March 2023.
The Challenge is held in March each year at the Claremont Golf Club and is an 18 hole Ambrose event.
The 2023 Challenge attracted 21 Teams and the trophy winners were as follows:
- The Vern McTye Memorial Trophy (open to all RSL members - best nett):
LVRSL: Roland Curley, Matt Fahey, Mark Jones and Mick Lewis - The Don Ryan Memorial Trophy - The "Services Cup" (open to all service members either current or ex service members - best nett):
Andrew Herbert, Danny Fleming, Neil Grierson and Jason Chivers - The Mark McMichael Memorial Trophy (best gross):
Shane McKay, John Maughan, John Stanley and Paul McKay
Major Sponsor JMC (Jackson Motor Company) again offered a New Suzuki MUX for a hole in one however, participants were unsuccessful in claiming the prize again this year.
