“WIVES NOT INVITED TO CERMONY”
Thirteen wives and dozens of sweethearts were not among the invited guests at the naturalization ceremony for 194 Polish ex-service men at Butlers Gorge on Saturday, but most of them were nearby to share in the celebration afterwards.
One wife, a Scottish girl with a young baby, was determined not to be left out of it.
She travelled 10 miles from Tarraleah, and a few minutes before the proceedings got under way, she found a seat among the Press respresentatives and had a good view of all that went on.
Mrs. Aleksander Armatys followed the ceremony with interest, and her baby daughter Jeanette, seemed to enjoy it too.
